Daily Wire (Trying To Create A Civil War’: Calls Grow For Maxine Waters To Be Punished Over Alleged Incitement)

Backlash continued to grow against Democrat Rep. Maxine Waters (CA) on Sunday over remarks that she made late Saturday night where she encouraged activists to “get more confrontational” on “the street” if Derek Chauvin is not convicted of murdering George Floyd.

“We’re looking for a guilty verdict. We’re looking for a guilty verdict. And we’re looking to see if all of this [inaudible] that took place and has been taking place after they saw what happened to George Floyd,” Waters said. “If nothing does not happen, then we know that we’ve got to not only stay in the street, but we’ve got to fight for justice, but I am very hopeful and I hope that we’re going to get a verdict that will say guilty, guilty, guilty. And if we don’t, we cannot go away.”

News Week (3/16/21 ) Pastor Rick Joyner Urges American Christians to Prepare for Civil War

MorningStar Ministries founder and pastor, Rick Joyner, pleaded with the "true disciples of Christ" in America to rise up and prepare for war with the "evil" forces which he baselessly claimed "stole" the November election from former President Donald Trump.

The longtime Fort Mill, South Carolina, pastor was introduced by evangelical televangelist Jim Bakker on his Monday broadcast as a Christian "prophet." Joyner claimed without evidence there is a "unified belief and deep conviction" among "true" U.S. Christians that the presidential election was rigged by President Joe Biden and the Democrats. Joyner urged Trump supporters and Christians alike to buy up arms in preparation for a coming "civil war."

Independent (America could be heading towards a second Civil War)

According to The Independent’s Washington bureau chief John T. Bennett, the ‘Second American Civil War’ (SACW) started in May as a rural-urban divide, with Trumpian rural voters on one side and Democrat-leaning urbanites on the other.

Bennett says it is a conflict fuelled by differing responses to the COVID-19 pandemic in which conservative (mostly Republican) states have backed Trump’s calls to open up the economy and Democrat-majority states have generally acted on public health advice. Armed white militia members began acting out in earnest at the end of April when they stormed into the Michigan State legislature demanding an end to the state’s coronavirus lockdown. Two weeks later, they were back protesting “stay-at-home” orders."

Fox News (recent riots and political unrest could lead to 'rise of citizen militias)

Conservative filmmaker and scholar Dinesh D'Souza said Sunday that recent rioting and political division within the U.S. could lead to the "rise of citizen militias," if societal tensions are not quickly de-escalated and diffused.

"The problem is that you respond [to rioting] through the lawful authorities, which is through the police; if things escalate beyond a certain point then you call in federal assistance. If things escalate beyond that point you call in the military," he told Fox News during a phone interview. "Local governments and state governors are calling down the cops and licensing their own private gangs. If the cops won't protect us, then you're going to see the rise of citizen militias around the country."

PBS News Hour (Some in the GOP parrot far-right talk of a coming civil war)

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — War-like imagery has begun spreading in Republican circles after the attack on the U.S. Capitol by a mob of President Donald Trump’s supporters, with some elected officials and party leaders rejecting pleas to tone down rhetoric calling for a second civil war.

In northwestern Wisconsin, the chairman of the St. Croix County Republican Party was forced to resign Friday after refusing for a week after the siege to remove an online post urging followers to “prepare for war.” The incoming chairwoman of the Michigan GOP and her husband, a state lawmaker, have joined a conservative social media site created after the Capitol riot where the possibility of civil war is a topic.

Vice (Is the U.S. Already in a New Civil War?)

Experts say that a new civil conflict will look nothing like the last American Civil War, but that the country is on the verge of large scale political violence.

America’s COVID-19 numbers aren’t under control. In many places they're getting worse. Large portions of the west coast are on fire, social media is fueling genocides, and political violence in the U.S. is increasing. People are marching in the streets, aligned with two ideologically distinct factions. Many of them (overwhelmingly from one side) are armed, and violence and death has resulted when these two sides have clashed.

The Oath Keepers of Yavapai County and the Yavapai County Preparedness Team warn of coming civil disorders.

Regardless of how the presidential election is settled, Jim Arroyo argues that the violent protests and looting we have seen this year in major American cities are likely to continue or even spread. This creates a risk to average citizens of social and economic breakdown, supply disruptions and man made emergencies beyond what law enforcement and the military will be able to control. Personal safety, food security and medical care are now at risk in ways Americans have never before experienced. It is imperative that we take common sense steps to prepare ourselves and our families for these contingencies.

“At the general election to be held November 2, 2021, the voters shall be permitted to vote in a referendum on the question of whether this state should leave the United States of America and establish an independent republic.”

That’s the idea proposed by state Rep. Kyle Biedermann (R-Fredericksburg), who has kept his promise to file legislation that would let the citizens of Texas choose a path back to 1836. House Bill (HB) 1359, dubbed “The Texan Independence Referendum Act,” would give Texans a choice on whether or not to secede.

Sanjoseinside (California Secede? One Group Got a Key Approval Last Week to Try)

One of the most well-known groups pushing for California to secede from the rest of the country got the OK from state officials last week to collect signatures for a secession question on a future ballot.

The news of the approval came on the heels of California's 170th “birthday,” or anniversary marking the day it became the 31st state in the union. If the signature collection by pro-independence group Yes California is successful, residents would, in an undetermined future election, decide whether to cast a “no confidence” vote in the United States and create a commission to evaluate the Golden State’s ability to govern itself.
